Its been a while since I took a bus but from the days I used to take them and till now when I pass by them the one thing I loved to do was people watch.
Here are a few thoughts that came running to my mind thinking about these things! So I’m just going to jot them down randomly!
· For people taking busses, life is just another race, running from home to be there on time, not to be late and loose their pace.
· If you’re lucky, there might be a day, when running behind a big bus, is not your way.
· But for those who take busses regularly, know that this is something inevitable! There is rarely a day when you haven’t run behind a bus AT LEAST once in a day!
· So we take the time in our lives, be there before hand, and so begins the journey of people watching.
· You have the old ladies sitting quietly. Pretending like they don’t really care. But they have to see and evaluate everyone that comes by. If you have two old friends sitting… They’ll start there and then!
· You always have the boys sitting and waiting. Playing on their phones, or messaging or talking to someone. The second you see a girl come by or even pass by. They seem to loose any and all senses!
· Then you have the girls coming by being accompanied by guys… The one’s that have the “Don’t mess with me!” look on their faces! (I know so many of them, even if were walking down any street!) These guys are too funny… It’s like they’re trying to make a preemptive strike.
· Then you have the odd person smoking. Blowing smoke strategically at you. Even if they don’t intend on it. The wind decides it wants the smoke to blow directly into your face!
· Also you have the smokers who have been waiting for ten minutes and there is absolutely no sign of a bus. And the second they decide they want to light up, have their first puff…. There comes the bus. Damn what a waste! They’ll be waiting with the cig in their hand. And the second they light up … There it is… Always makes you wonder if they should always light up first! LOL
· There also that bunch of kids who come (growing up … or wanting to grow up really fast!) The kinds who are 12 going on 30. Dressing ‘gangsta’ style. With all the bling, being obnoxiously loud and thinking smoking and cursing is the coolest thing they can be doing! (As of course doing all this makes you feel like a grown up??!!?)
· The new overly in love couple. Who manages to get a cuddle and a snuggle waiting for the bus. The quickest way for time to pass I guess!
· People with over 20 shopping bags. Grocery is the best one. You can so see that they are going through hell holding them and carrying them. While they walk they have this look of … “I got it!” As soon as they get to the bus stop they dump them down on the floor and have this look of ‘yea… I got this!’ … In their minds what they’re really thinking is … “THANK GOD! I would have died if this would have taken another minute! My hand and arms are killing me!”
· Then you have the people who come dressed in the out of the ordinary clothing. They are all people making statements I guess. The gangster look. The hippee look. The flamboyant I’m dressed in Gucci from head to toe (yet I’m taking the bus?) etc etc
· The odd drunk man or woman who is always so out of it. They are talking to themselves thinking there is someone sitting next to them having this conversation with them. Then you come along and they want you to join in.
· The cheeky guys giving the, ‘hey baby’ look! Cause I’m such a stud! LOL
· The person who is sitting their in reality but their minds of off in a far away land. Somewhere they can be happy I guess…
These are all things that one notices. One can go into details writing about each and all of these topics. Giving stories and incidents. I would love to do that but I’ll leave that for another blog and another time!
As always I leave you with a quote that I like!
