Well there was a time in my life that 3 am on Saturday morning was the most interesting time of the week! It kind of still is… but not always. You see once you start work… and realize that the place you work in… Sunday…. IS A WORKING DAY you’re shattered! Getting used to that concept takes a bit of time. Its not that hard getting used to cause you’re still getting your two day weekend, its just that one is mentally used to knowing that Sunday is the day of rest!
ANyWhO…. There are so many stories about Saturday mornings at 3. You know there are those days when you get a call from a friend at 1 or 2 and you decided you’re bored and want to go for a drive and a coffee… Those have to be the most spontaneous and fun plans that are made! So that’s one of the things you’ll find me doing.
Something else you’ll be seeing people do, including me, is coming out of clubs or party places and going somewhere to eat. You know you have the standard places people go to after a night of drinking. The roadside place that is the dirtiest place ever but serves the best food in the world! Is it the dirtiness of the place that makes the food taste that good…? I really wonder sometimes!
And then there are those nights when all your friends are over… Chilling, drinking, singing, talking complete rubbish, or talking absolutely serious stuff. (Religion and Politics even!) These are those kinds of nights where the time passes by so fast you wish it hadn’t! You end up looking at your watching thinking its still 1 or 130 and are totally shocked to see that its 4 or 430 am! Then there are those nights when everyone is just that drunk. Silly to the extent that all you can hear is constant laughter. OOOO the times I’ve had to stop because my tummy started to hurt! I love those nights..!
There are also those times when you’re online talking to people you haven’t seen or heard from in ages. Living away and having friends in all parts of the world there is not one time that you log on to msn or anything where you ‘don’t’ have some one logged on at the same time. Then you end up having the late night conversations or random stuff… or the good old catch up session that was well needed!
Of course you CANNOT miss the times when you’re all off for a late night movie! These are things that just have to happen. You go in for a show at 1 or 2 and are out by 3 or 4 depending on the length of the movie. The movie can make you come out totally refreshed that you can’t seem to want to sleep after that. You have to just get yourself to talk about it. Or you carry on your discussions over a few drinks or coffee (to one his own!) And then on the other hand, you can come out bored out of your mind and just wanting to go home and sleep! I thank the lord that I have friends who make boring movies totally interesting for me! The most boring and ridiculously stupid movie becomes soo entertaining! You guys know who I’m talking about… don’t you! Remember Devdas or Dus for starters! :)
Being a people person I rarely have times when I’m all alone at those hours… Unless of course I’m asleep!
I’m totally done with mentioning some more of the things we all are up to at 3 AM on Saturdays… So before I start talking about things I might not want to… I shall take my leave…And leave you with this…
